Monday 6 February

Hi all,
Greetings from Haiti! Well what a night for the Patriots!! Yes, we live streamed the game to L'Asille. We decorated one of the school rooms, had munchies to snack on and projected it onto a white sheet!! Much to our surprise, it worked!! It was a fun night for all!!

We bid a fond farewell to Father David's aunt, Marie Jossee, who is leaving for Paris today. She is a grand lady and we will miss her. Bon Voyage!!

This morning some of us went visit the sick in town. We joined two local women, Elna and Natalie and went into the homes of the sick and elderly. All of us were so inspired by their faith and trust in God. We prayed with them, sang hymns and Father Barry gave them his blessing. We also had a chance to visit with the kindergarten children from the local school. They are delightful!!

Others in our group, took building supplies to those who lost their homes during the hurricane. All of the supplies were donated by Food For the Poor. It will take the community a long time to recover, but now some will receive much needed shelter. More work in the church today, we're getting ready for a mass for the sick on Wednesday. Continue to keep us in your prayers. The L'Asille Ten
